FOAM TAPE

Foam Tapes for Industry and Professionals. Foam tapes are typically for bonding irregular surfaces, cushioning and insulation. Foam Tapes can have adhesive on one or both sides, high or low density (firmness), different colours, foam types and adhesive formulations. There is no one-size-fits-all in this case, suitability depends on the final application and conditions.

Our foam tapes typically have either PE or PVC foam carriers. For mounting applications we tend to use PE foams, as they are more conformable and economic at lower densities. They adept well to uneven surfaces, which means a good adhesive wet-out also when the surface isn't entirely flat, which is essential for a reliable long term bond. Our S-Mount Premium range (0.8mm to 3.0mm thickness, white and black) is widely used for signmaking, automotive trims and badges, mirror mount and general interior / exterior mounting applications.

The PVC foams have a higher density and have excellent resistance to UV, weathering and fungi, making them highly suitable for applications in glazing and construction. We have a large range of thickness options in both white and black, and any roll width required. They are referred to as spacer tapes, as the specific thickness allows a glass unit to be fitted securely in a frame, and security glazing tapes, because the high density avoids penetration to remove the glass unit.

Adhesives on our foam tapes include solvent acrylics, high-shear modified acrylics with high temperature resistance, repositionable emulsion acrylics and high-tack synthetic rubber based adhesives.
